A Home at the End of the World

I wanted to see this movie in the cinema and missed it. Now I’m glad I didn’t spend any money for it.

Although the cast was mostly good, surprisingly even Colin Farrell, it lacked something – a point. I watched it, I liked the characters but it was just so… pointless. I’m not a person who has to have a moral in every story or even has to have an exciting story in every movie but I kept asking myself “and… ?”.
I think the writer tried to put so many things into this film that they all could be touched superficially only. Maybe that’s because it’s based on a novel (I haven’t read). Maybe the novel is like that as well.

Anyway, I wouldn’t recommend it.
