19 Questions – Meme Monday [Which I Should Probably Rename to Questionnaire Monday]

taken from L.

1. What are your current obsessions?

To my own surprise, I’m quite obsession-less at the moment.  I don’t think that ever happened to me before. What am I going to do? WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

2. Which item from your wardrobe do you wear most often?

I have this black sweater-jacket-thingy (well, a wool sweater with a zipper in the front) that I love. Unfortunately it’s falling apart. Fortunately, it’s summer now and I have half a year to find the exact same thing again.

3. Last dream you had?

deadra was giving a lecture I attended. It was about how possession is equalled to love in our culture and what the problems with that are. I don’t exactly remember what she said, but it was really interesting.

4. Last thing you bought?

A text marker. [Damn you, uni!]

5. What are you listening to?

Right now? The radio. Jason Mraz. Who’s annoying me (althouth not as much as Mylo) and I can’t actually say why I’m still listening to this.

6. Embarrassed to admit?

Although I’m organised as hell when it comes to my books and DVDs, in other regards I’m so sloppy, it’s shameful. Like since the 2nd semester, I wasn’t able to put all my paper stuff from uni in some sort of system – it’s all a precariously stacked huge pile of papers on my floor.

7. Favourite holiday spots?

Depending on what I want from the holiday – either complete relaxation, then I don’t care which beach I’m lying, the only important thing is that I have enough books, that there’s seafood and that you can actually swim in the sea.
If I want to see things, I really like the UK, but it’s more from coincidence than from actual planning on my part that I’m there every year or so. I want to see the whole world.

8. Reading right now?

Conflict Management (Gerhard Schwarz), Inkspell (Cornelia Funke), Asking for Trouble (Kristina Lloyd) and somehow-still-reading-because-I-can’t-bring-myself-to-quit-just-yet I Served the English King (Bohumil Hrabal). One of those is for uni. Guess which. :)

9. Four words to describe yourself.

feminist pop culture addict

10. Guilty pleasure?

Watching TV shows when I know I should be doing better things with my time. For example, I just rewatched the complete Friends although I have papers to hand in left and right.

11. Who or what makes you laugh until you’re weak?

A lot of things and people. I like to laugh and I do it as often as I can. The last time I really broke down with laughter was with my mom. I can’t remember right now, what it was exactly that we laughed about, but it was good. ;)

12. Favourite spring thing to do?

Going barefoot. I do it as soon as my toes won’t freeze off and as much as I possibly can.

13. Planning to travel to next?

Linz. I had my “real” vacations for this year. Next year, I want to go to the USA. Maybe, I’ll just pack up my things and go, as long as I want, wherever I get to. I’m thinking, 2 years or so to see the world.

But probably I’ll be to chicken to go ahead with this plan.

14. Best thing you ate or drank lately?

Right now, there are fresh strawberrys everywhere. And fresh asparagus. I love springtime.

15. When did you last get tipsy?

I don’t drink a whole lot but I love Martini D’Oro. So, I usually have a bottle of it in the fridge and when I feel like it, I’ll pour myself a glass in the evening, after uni. Perfectly relaxing. One evening, I had two glasses and I actually got a little tipsy. Kinda sad, isn’t it?

16. Favourite ever film?

People, people, you’re killing me with these favourite ever [insert something I love here] questions. I refuse to answer.

17. Care to share some wisdom?

Nah, you all already know about my wisdom.

18. Song you can’t get out of your head?

Right now, I don’t have anything in my head, but currently, I’m addicted to Ryan Star’s Brand New Day. [Thank you, Lie to Me.]

19. Thing you are looking forward to?

Summer holidays. My sister’s wedding. Many small things. Some bigger things.

  1. Yay, I get to go barefoot whenever I want! :) Bangalore weather is about perfect for me, actually. Even in the summer it’s less than 29 degrees on most days, and that’s actually fine in the shade. It goes to a very comfortable just-over 20 at night. I am SO living in this city when I’m done with college.
(Assuming I don’t get to go abroad for one of any number of reasons, which was the original plan.)
