  1. Ooooh…where do I start?

1.) I’ve watched the “Robin Hood” trailer about 5 times so far, and I’m not impressed. Not even a little bit. It may have something to do with my stance that Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe should be barred from making films together. Ever. Or it may just be that they’re trying to make Robin Hood gritty. Robin Hood isn’t gritty – it’s a baddies-get-their-comeuppance-from-a-merry-band-of-ragtag-niceguys-folktale, for fuck’s sake!!!

2.) The trailer for “Clash of the Titans” had the little boy in me jumping up and down with glee…right up until Zeus turned around and bellowed “Unleash the kraken!”…at which point tea came out of my nose.

3.) Okay…now I’ve seen the trailer for “Iron Man 2” and I stand by my point. There’s too much going on to do anybody justice in any film shorter than 6 hours. They had, what, half a second for Sam Rockwell? That *has* to be a crime against celluloid in at least 60 countries.

4.) I’ve decided not to get upset with the Guardian list, or with myself for having seen so pathetically few of their picks. (BAD deadra! BAD!!!) Instead, I’m going to make it my mission to have watched them all (except for the Lars von Triers/ Hanekes, because no way!) this time next year.

    5.) I <3 Terry Pratchett.

    • ad 1: I really don’t know what to think about the Robin Hood thing. I’m not as anti-Ridley&Russell as you are but I do think that they could co-operate with other people. At least sometimes. But the trailer looks really boring.
But let’s face it: I’m so going to be watching this in the cinema…

ad 2: Exactly the same reaction on my part. Except that I didn’t have tea at my disposal at the moment.

ad 3: I haven’t given up hope yet. But that probably only means that my disappointment is going to be worse. :)

ad 4: ooooohhh, I’m completely with you in watching all those movies in a year. Should be very feasible, no?

      ad 5: me too!
