Apparently I write like David Foster Wallace, and I haven’t read anything he’s done, although on looking him up he seems like someone I’d like to read.
Also did you get the 6 stages of Christopher Nolan’s breakup thing when I shared it on google reader? It would be quite interesting if it was through some other route :) .
I’ve been meaning to read David foster Wallace myself for a while. Maybe I’ll get to it this century.
No, I got the breakup stages through you. :)
Good to have you back!
(I got Dan Brown so you are doing way better than me!)
I can’t tell whether “Priest” looks totally awesome or absolutely god-awful (no pun intended). I’m leaning towards option 2, to be honest. But I do like the vampires, suitably “I Am Legend”, and not a sparkle in sight!
I’m glad to be back, too!
This morning, I heard them talking about I Write on Austrian radio. Now, I’m having delusions of grandeur, wondering whether they have it from my blog…
Judging by Legion, Priest is totally going to suck. On the other hand, I’m with you: scary vampires! YAY!
1) Good to have you back online! :)
2) Jane Austen’s FIght Club: HILARIOUS!
“priest” seems to be a very nice movie. (I’d have enjoyed legion, too ;) )
“exam” reminds me of the Milgrim experiment or something alike. (But I think it things as these don’t make a good movie.)
Yeah, there are definite parallels to the Milgrim experiment. But just like with Cube, if executed correctly, that kind of premise can make for one terrific movie.
I don’t really like these kinds of movies.
They either try to educate you – which is annoying.
Or they show people doing really crazy things and situations getting out of control and people being in physical and emotional pain and things happening too loud and too fast- neither of which I want to see. See our “violence in movies” discussion.
Haven’t seen the Cube, either.
I think films as these interesting, but I prefer watching them on small screen.
… but I’d love to see “Priest” and “Legion”. And “Kick-ass” and “the losers” … well, basically any of these genre-films from the past 4 years. Plus “Inception” ^^
I think I’m going to see a movie this fall. (And I know this sentence makes you shiver.)
I like these kinds of films, especially when they show how normal people start doing freakishly crazy things.
I think you’d enjoy Legion, mostly, except for the misogyny.
You? Going to see a movie? Who are you and what have you done with L.?
