Plot:
Sofia (Camilla Damião) is looking for love. She makes a great connection with a woman on a dating app – right before her waxing appointment. Somewhat distracted, a miscommunication between Sofia and her waxer turns uncomfortable.

Sofia is a very entertaining short film. It builds a relatable, funny romance from a small idea and makes it feel rich. I didn’t think it could pull this meet-cute off. It had me laughing a lot, and gave me as a waxing naysayer insight into how that works, cementing my abstention for me. Very well done!
