Plot:
Remi (Keaton Nigel Cooke) can’t believe his luck when his dad Danny (Tracy Letty) brings home a dog. Remi’s mother Dina (Julie Delpy) is less taken by Danny’s gift, fearing that she will be the one having to care for it. Pretty soon it becomes clear that it’s not going to work out for the dog in this family. And so begins a oddyssee for the little guy, from one weird owner to the next.

Wiener-Dog wasn’t great, but it was a decent film that was often very funny and sometimes a little too cruel. There are many things to like about it, but also a few things I didn’t like.

In their most recent take-down of Hydra men, they managed to get back Loki’s scepter. Before Thor can take it back to his world, Tony and Bruce ask to analyze it and they discover a form of intelligence inside of the scepter. They decide to use it to try and create an AI as a defense program. They succeed and said program – Ultron (James Spader) – comes to life. Unfortunately he has his own vision of what a safe world looks like and the Avengers have to face Tony’s and Bruce’ creation.

I really loved the last Avengers movie, and this sequel has many of the same strengths. Unfortunately it also has a lot more problems than the first one, especially when it comes to plot and character development. Nevertheless I really enjoyed myself.

An American Werewolf in Paris (1997)

An American Werewolf in Paris
Director: Anthony Waller
Writer: Tim Burns, Tom Stern, Anthony Waller
Based on: An American Werewolf in London
Cast: Tom Everett Scott, Julie Delpy, Vince Vieluf, Phil Buckman, Julie Bowen, Pierre Cosso

Plot:
Andy (Tom Everett Scott), Brad (Vince Vieluf) and Chris (Phil Buckman) are on holidays in Paris, but with a special twist: they are collecting daredeveil points for certain stunts they pull. That’s also how they end up on the Eiffel tower after closing hour and become witness to Serafine (Julie Delpy) trying to kill herself. But Andy saves her and becomes completely obsessed with her. But there is more to Serafine than meets the eye and soon the guys find themselves daring more than they thought.

Unfortunately An American Werewolf in Paris lacks all the bittersweet charm of An American Werewolf in London. Instead it’s dumb, slightly misogynistic and extremely boring. I guess it falls in the category of movies best forgotten.
