Plot:
Paul (Thomas Gioria) lives close to the remote psychiatric hospital his mother (Anaël Snoek) works at. Paul is not allowed to talk to the patients, but when Gloria (Fantine Harduin) is admitted and immediately tries to escape, they meet by chance – and Paul immediately falls in love. Determined to help Gloria any way he can, Paul helps her escape and the two go on the run. But there was a reason that Gloria was in a psychiatric hospital.

Adoration captures Paul’s perspective perfectly, but doesn’t do enough with Gloria to make their story together really work. Thus, the film always feels weirdly distant and also too long.

Plot:
Gloria (Lola Dueñas) has been living a very quite life with her daughter. Her friend convinces her to go on a date with Michel (Laurent Lucas) whom she finds through a dating website. Gloria agrees after a while, the date goes great and they spend the night together. But after giving Michel some money to help him out with his job, Gloria finds out that is actually how he makes a living: getting money from lonely women. But by then it is too late: Gloria has fallen head over heels and is determined to make it work, whatever it takes. And once she makes that clear to him, Michel is equally unwilling to let Gloria go.

Alleluia did have interesting moments and a cool set-up but everything was weird and nothing really worked for me.
