Ancient Roman joke book discovered.

[A] barber, a bald man and an absent-minded professor [take] a journey together. They have to camp overnight, so decide to take turns watching the luggage. When it’s the barber’s turn, he gets bored, so amuses himself by shaving the head of the professor. When the professor is woken up for his shift, he feels his head, and says “How stupid is that barber? He’s woken up the bald man instead of me.”

  1. Thanks for the links :)

    Although clicking on the “10 literary one-hit wonders” and seeing Oscar Wilde on the list freaked me out a bit. So, it’s not literature unless it’s a novel, except when it’s poetry? So confusing.

  2. @ramblingperfectionist:
    Sure thing, sure thing. :)

    OOOB might be the greatest sex sound ever. It reminds us ever so slightly of our ape heritage and is therefore not only a sound of pleasure, but also an intellectual statement about our scientific point of view of the world.

    @deadra:
    You’re welcome.

    Yes, Oscar Wilde – I was wondering about that one, too… I mean, his plays and short stories and such are definitely literature in my opinion.

  3. *grins* Ancient Roman jokes = :) I’m planning something in the same vein this week…

    Oh, and Harry Potter HBP? It better NOT be crap, or a particular director will be getting a bag of dog poo in the mail – making us wait and then serving up rubbish after all? How dare they!

  4. Really? Then I’m looking forward to it even more than usual. Interesting. :)

    I bet the director would get several bags in the mail. It really shouldn’t get that far though, I mean, it was a pre-screening, they still have time to change it…
