Soundtrack to the Movie of Your Life – Meme Monday

I’ve done memes like this twice before, here and here. But the questions to this one are new and anyway, it’s fun!

Via liberrydwarf.

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool!

Opening Credits: Can’t Go Back by Primal Scream [Yeah, there’s no going back now that I’ve started this meme.]

Waking Up: Presuming Ed [Rest Easy] by Elbow from the album Asleep in  the Back. [Not a good wake-up song…]

First Day At School: Saltimbanco by Cirque du Soleil. [Kind of fitting, actually. Even if the song is a little scarier than the day was.]

Falling In Love:
Closer Now by Keane. [It’s slightly more depressing than love should probably be.]

Fight Song:
Take Care of Business by Nina Simone. [Well, yeah, I’d probably let other people do the fighting for me…]

Breaking Up: Shout (Street Respect) by Sean Paul. [Now that would be better as a Fight Song.]

Prom: Das große Erwachen by Annett Louisan. [The beginning is perfect. But then it goes on to different things.]

Life: Smoke and Ashes by Tracy Chapman. [Maaaaan…]

Mental Breakdown: Sabotage by The Bosshoss. [Country style Beastie Boys cover – yeah, that’s a worthy reply.]

Driving: Enter Sandman by Apocalyptica. [I don’t know what to say to that.]

Flashback: What is Life by George Harrison. [Wow, I’m flashing back to before my life… But this is actually a great song for a flashback montage.]

Getting Back Together: Texas Funeral by Jon Wayne. [Getting back together is probably not a good idea then?]

Wedding: Father Figure by George Michael. [Dr Freud? Could you have a look at this, please?]

Birth of Child: Worried Life Blues by Eric Clapton. [Childbirth worries me. Especially the pain. That much is true.]

Final Battle: From Bollywood to Battersea by Babyshambles. [It seems my final battle will be a world war?]

Death Scene:
I Need to Be in Love by Carpenters. [I don’t even know why I have this song on my laptop…]

Funeral Song: Crazy for You by Madonna. [There are only two ways Madonna is going to be played at my funeral. Here’s one. Here’s the other. Both are unlikely.]

Remembrance Song: She’s a Mystery to Me by Roy Orbison. [Does that mean that nobody will remember me?]

End Credits:
Close Your Eyes by The Chemical Brothers. [That’s a good end credits song. And a very nice way to end this meme: In your eyes I can see that you’ve had enough.]
