1. Favourite childhood book: There are very many of those. But one definite favourite is The Brothers Lionheart by Astrid Lindgren. [Find more here and here.]
2. What are you reading right now? Burning Up, an anthology with paranormal novellas (one of which is by Nalini Singh). Tender Morsels by Margo Lanagan. Once Bitten by Kalayna Price. And officially, I’m still reading The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson #2) by Rick Riordan and The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo, though I haven’t touched either in a while.
3. What books do you have on request at the library? I don’t use libraries. Because I have to own everything. Everything.
4. Bad book habit: I carry my books in my purse and I carry them everywhere I go. Which means that they always look battered after I’ve read them. Though I’m trying to counteract the effects by binding them in self-adhesive foil. Doesn’t work too well.
5. What do you currently have checked out at the library? See above.
6. Do you have an e-reader? No. I do read books on the computer though. And my next project will be to test my cellphone’s reader capabilities.
7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once? Always several at once.
8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog? No. Only my reviewing habits. :)
9.Least favourite book you read this year: Huh. Well, the one book I didn’t finish was Shadowland, but the book that made me roll my eyes most was probably Her Vampire Husband. Or Marielle.
10. Favourite book I’ve read this year: So. Much. Harder. Horns. Graceling. The Brookmyres (though especially Attack of the Unsinkable Rubber Ducks). American Gods. The Wild Things. Oryx and Crake.
11. How often do you read out of your comfort zone? What the hell is my comfort zone? I read books that make me flinch, I read books that me sick sometimes, and I read books that make me think. But if it’s really outside my comfort zone, I’d probably not read it.
Don’t you have an iPhone? Should be easy to find stuff to read on there! Isn’t there a Kindle app to get eBooks off Amazon?
I have an Android, not an iPhone, but it shouldn’t be a problem, you’re right. I just didn’t have the time yet to really try everything.
