[Is it necessary to point out that a porn review is most likely NOT SAFE FOR WORK? It’s not very much so, though.]

Batman XXX was directed by Axel Braun and stars Dale DaBone, James Deen, Tori Black, Lexi Black, Evan Stone and Randy Spears. It is the first in a series of superhero pornos.

Plot:
Bruce Wayne’s (Dale DaBone) girlfriend Lisa gets kidnapped by the Riddler (Evan Stone). [Unfortunately, Bruce is too engrossed with his chess game with Dick Grayson (James Deen) to notice.] The police call Batman in to save the day – and he goes out to hunt the Riddler down. But is he working on his own?

The movie is really entertaining. Axel Braun is apparently a big fan of the 60s show, and he manages to stay very true to it, which is great. The costumes alone are completely mind-boggling.

If you cut the sex scenes out (and there is a sex-less version on the DVD), Batman XXX could be any other 60s-Batman episode. It is frankly amazing with how much eye for detail and good sense of humour Axel Braun went about the whole thing.

The casting is pretty amazing, too. Especially Randy Spears as the Joker blew me away. Though all of them were pretty much perfect in their roles.

The pairings were basically what you’d expect. First, we had Lisa/the Riddler. Batman/some girl at a bar who drugged him. The Joker/two hench-women. Robin/Batgirl. And finally Batman/Catwoman/Robin.
I have to admit that I was a little disappointed that there was no Batman/Robin action. I mean… come on, you know what I mean. ;)

Also, with the exception of consent issues* [Batman got date-raped and Bruce’s girlfriend tried to seduce her kidnapper to make things easier for herself], it was all rather straightforward sex and might have profited from a little more kink. Or maybe that’s just me.

Summarising: very entertaining, but you have to give leeway for the lacking consent.

*And how sad is it that – since it’s porn – you basically expect those? I mean, I hardly flinched when it happened because having seen porn films before, I knew what was coming anyway.
