Plot:
Alma (Andrea Londo) is pregnant. She and her girlfriend Brooke (Caitlin Gerard) have decided to go for a Freebirth, so they are camping out in the woods for the most “natural” birth experience. But as things start to get going, Alma has second thoughts about that. But Brooke seems still unwilling to go to the hospital.

Freebirth starts off really strong, but I didn’t like the twist at the end that much – I thought that that missed where the horror in the set-up lay. Admittedly, though, it was funny and there was some racial commentary that is also rather interesting. All in all, it’s a well-made short.

The film poster showing two women, their faces very close together, both screaming. One is wearing a flower crown.
